Aída Victoria Merlano Manzaneda has been handed a 13-year and 10-month prison term by the Prosecutor's Office. The judge also annulled the privilege of house arrest.
She was found guilty as a co-perpetrator in the offense involving the exploitation of minors in the commission of aggravated crimes and as an accomplice in the crime of aiding a prisoner's escape. These charges stem from the events of October 1, 2019, when her mother, Aída Merlano, escaped from a dental office in northern Bogotá.

The judge withdrew the privilege of house arrest, previously granted in the initial ruling, and mandated her immediate apprehension.
The influencer was convicted in September 2022 on the grounds that she transported the tools in a suitcase to facilitate her mother, Merlano Rebolledo's escape. During that period, Merlano Rebolledo had been relocated from El Buen Pastor prison to a dental office before subsequently resurfacing in Venezuela.

Merlano Mazaneda continued to be confined to house arrest while awaiting the determination of his sentence in the second instance. Ultimately, the court ruled for his immediate arrest.
