In response, Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 attributed her changed physique to weight gain, reaching nearly 60kg due to irregular eating habits. The Tay Ninh beauty expressed her intention to adjust her diet to restore her original figure.

Born in 1994 in Tay Ninh, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau clinched the title of Miss Universe Vietnam 2022, representing Vietnam in the Miss Universe 2022 pageant held in the US. Prior to this, Ngoc Chau garnered numerous accolades, including Miss Supranational Vietnam 2018 and Champion of Vietnam's Next Top Model 2016.
