WhatsApp, the globally popular messaging service owned by Meta, experienced widespread outages this Wednesday afternoon.
In a statement posted on its official X account, formerly known as Twitter, WhatsApp acknowledged the issue, stating: "We are aware that some users are currently experiencing difficulties. Rest assured, we are diligently working to restore full functionality as swiftly as possible."
As per reports from the Downdetector portal, by 2:20 p.m. Miami time, users had submitted over 6,194 crash reports.
Furthermore, numerous individuals took to social media platforms to document and share their experiences of the service disruptions.
