Izabela Bodnar: we managed to convince people that change in Wrocław is possible |
In a brief period, my exceptional team and I successfully persuaded thousands of Wrocław residents that change is not only possible but imperative for our city," emphasized Izabela Bodnar, who is vying for the position of city president in the upcoming election runoff.
The initial poll results conducted by Ipsos for Polsat, TVN, and TVP indicate that the incumbent president Jacek Sutryk (38.9% of votes) and Izabela Bodnar, the candidate from the Third Way party and a Member of Parliament representing Poland 2050 (31.4% of votes), will compete in the second round of the Wrocław city president elections.
Following the announcement of the results, Bodnar noted that the 7% difference underscores the genuine desire for change among the people of Wrocław. "I believe I embody the change they yearn for. They have chosen me for this final confrontation, for this decisive showdown," she emphasized.
Expressing gratitude to her team, Bodnar highlighted, "Despite numerous challenges, we managed to achieve this feat in such a short timeframe." She further remarked, "In spite of the limited duration, my dedicated team and I succeeded in persuading thousands of Wrocław residents that this change is not only achievable but necessary for all of us. I am filled with pride, joy, and immense gratitude. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all who supported me."
Bodnar also acknowledged the support of two former Wrocław presidents, Stanisław Huskowski and Rafał Dutkiewicz, and emphasized her commitment to intensify her efforts in the second round of the election. "I will work even harder to deserve every vote cast for me," she declared.
Looking ahead, Bodnar expressed eagerness to continue addressing Wrocław's challenges and opportunities. "We will tackle both immediate issues and long-term strategic challenges that lie ahead of us in the coming years. Change is feasible, and together, we will bring about this transformation," she affirmed.
Bodnar, who has served as an MP for Poland 2050-TD since October 2023, brings over 20 years of experience in economics from her tenure in Polish and international companies. Additionally, she has been actively involved in charitable endeavors as the president of a foundation.
According to the Ipsos poll, Jacek Sutryk (KWW Jacek Sutryk Lewica i Samorządowcy) secured 38.9% of the votes, while Izabela Bodnar (KKW Trzecia Droga) garnered 31.4% of the votes. Other candidates included Łukasz Kasztelowicz (KW PiS) with 13.9% of the votes, Jerzy Michalak (KW Stowarzyszenie "Niezpartyjni Samorządowcy") with 7.9%, Robert Grzechnik (KWW Konfederacja) with 4.9%, and Grzegorz Prigan (KWW Wrocławians for Wrocławians) with 3.2%.
